ALICE, ISABELLE AND THE APPEARANCE OF MISS BLUE
Tamara Bond

July 9 — July 30

Artist reception: Saturday, July 9, 2—4 pm

It all started with a dream. When Isabelle woke up, her sister Alice and  the manatee having tea was on her mind. Whenever she had an animal dream, something unusual happened. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until she went to check the mail and noticed an inky black cloud raining down directly on her house, and a very large frog sitting in the fallow field watching her.  It rained. And it rained and rained. Days of rain went by until Isabelle went on her roof to have a cup of tea and check the rising water level. It was then that she noticed the whale. She decided to write Alice for help.

So begins the fantastic story pictured in Tamara Bond's newest body of works. Bond's series of mixed media images illustrates an improbable narrative featuring giant frogs and a whale called Miss Blue.
