Thomas Anfield will perform The Post Cecil Taylor Garage Music Choir featuring Vancouver-based jazz vocalist Kate Hammett-Vaughan. In this quirky multidisciplinary piece, Thomas Anfield reverses the old standby of drawing to music and conducts performers through a series of live calligraphic gestures. The format was a hit at last year's Voxy Choir presentation at VCC and has been used to great success with the Post Cecil Taylor Garage Music Orchestra, whom Thomas has led in performances at the New Music across America and the Vancouver International jazz festivals.
